ABOUT US
Mission
The Octopuses Garden Art Alliance is an Omaha 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening community interaction through visual, literary and performance arts.
We rely on our passionate members volunteering their talents and creative energy to advocate for, inspire and educate our community.
We collaborate with other non-profits, schools, neighborhood associations and local businesses throughout Omaha in hosting events to facilitate positive growth for anyone interested in learning an artform, meeting new people and expressing themselves.
Values
- Inspiration- Motivating others to express themselves
- Unity- Bringing the entire community together
- Awareness- Opening hearts and minds
- Collaboration- Connecting and sharing efforts and ideas
- Holistic Growth- Growing individually and together
Vision
Our vision is to integrate Omaha's diverse community by offering workshops, projects and events to all areas of the city and to serve as a catalyst for local schools, non-profits, and businesses to form alliances.
We believe that self-expression through art is healthy and therapeutic for each individual, including those with special needs. Making such experiences accessible to everyone will benefit the entire community.
We are confident that these plans of collaboration between local organizations and citizens will bring together members of the diverse areas of the community, giving rise to a more united and beautiful Omaha.
